allegro bus

Ok guys, I am looking into a 1999 35' Allegro bus. It has the cummins 300 (i think) the 7.5kw quiet onan, 1 slide, full body paint, good looking tires, nice trim on the interior, no bumps on the body, good glass all around. The coach has 43k miles and the genny has 560 hours. The price is about $39000. I havent seen any wet spots on the ceiling, no cracked tiles on the floor, it looks to be in nice shape. The only negative i see is a rubber roof instead of fiberglass. Are there any issues you guys can think of on this particular unit? It even has the in motion satellite on the roof. Tomorrow i will drive it and check out the engine and all systems, so i would love to hear what you think of this one.
thanks
brian

Check the age of the tires. If they are original then they should be replaced. Are the maintenance records available? Check all the equipment of course. I would check them under shore power as well as genny. Just a couple of thoughts.

You should find a stamped in code on each tire. It should read DOT XXXX The X's should be four numbers.......the first two numbers are the week of the year and the last two numbers are the year of manufacture. If they are 7 years or older they should be considered for replacement........6 new ones are gong to be $3000 or so for 22.5" tires.

so, i traded my tiffin allegro gas pusher for an airstream cutter diesel pusher. i went with the cutter because i got it for wholesale and i felt better about the dealer that i traded with than the dealer that had the tiffin. they are trimmed out about the same but the cutter has the caterpillar 330 and the tiffin had the cummins 300. more miles on the cutter but i figure it really doesnt matter on those engines. also the cutter books for about $4000 more on the average retail and it has a fiberglass roof......looks like i need to be in a different forum now...thanks for all your input guys!
