Allegro Bus insurance

In the final stages of purchasing a 2016 45op. My insurance company ( State Farm) has quoted me $3813.42 annual. Is this in line with other companies?

My insurance company also quoted a very high number and they recommended I check with Good Sam. It was a lot cheaper and covered more items.

Hard to say. Depends on where you live and the coverages you’ve selected. But definitely seems high to me. I have never paid anything close to that.

2016 Bus

We have the same bus. We are insured out of Chattanooga TN. We are fulltime so our insurance is probably different. We pay $3000 a year and that includes a Chevy Equinox. Prior to going fulltime we paid 1200 a year.

Different year and different model (2017 Allegro RED.) I am in the process of checking insurance rates. As I do I also do an online search about the quoting company. Good Sam quoted me from National General. While it was the cheapest price, googling it showed it s difficult to get payments from them. $200 higher was Safeco. Safeco got medium reports, not great but not really bad. Equal to Safeco was Geico. Their reports were very positive for ease of use by the purchaser.

All of my quotes for the above mentioned unit were between 1,250 and 1,950.

Has anyone used National General from Good Sam? If so, what was your experience in using their services? Did you have trouble collecting or getting approvals?

Get several quotes: Progressive & Geico are 2 financially strong carriers with good claims paying reputations, but they are by no means the only ones to consider.

RV Insurance

Try Overland Insurance Svcs in Arizona - they will search and discuss best rates for your needs. Can vary year to year - one year the best rate was from SAFCO, this year progressive. They do the work - hassle free.

Quote seems high; definitely shop around. We used Miller Insurance in Oregon to shop for full time insurance. They were very easy to work with and helped us find best deal on full time insurance. We ended up with Progressive. Last renewal was about $2k for '19 Phaeton for full time coverage.

If you belong to FMCA they also offer insurance and will check for the lowest cost.

I realize rates are based on many factors including coverage amounts and location and deductibles and driving records etc….. We have a smaller Red 340 diesel pusher. We pay $97 per month with Progressive. It is linked to USAA. Basically I called USAA and they referred me through their partnership with Progressive.

Also have Progressive through USAA. Pay about 2K/yr for very complete coverage. Had it 2 years now and they totally covered a new windshield a few months ago. No complaints so far.

The last 2 years I had FMCA as the agent for our bus insurance and the best price was with Progressive. This year the FMCA price was higher than I thought was a competitive price. I did some research and I saw a post on the board about Twin Peaks insurance gave them a fair price. I contacted Twin Peaks and after all was said and done I went with them for our insurance.

Do your research and find the insurance agency that has the best price. Your situation and coverage will most likely be different that the members that have posted.

When Allied wanted to raise our premium from $1600 to $2200. Having had no accidents or traffic violations for 40 years, I went looking. Progressive did the same with our autos several years ago and we replaced them. We now have Geico with full value coverage plus 10% at less than we were paying Allied. I also switched four personal vehicles to Geico for a savings on all of them. I'll keep am eye on renewal premiums, but so far, no change in two years. And that is with two $3,000 windshield comp claims which they quickly paid

GEICO is one of the best out there, in my opinion!
Saved me $1,100 per year over Progressive/USAA!
They asked to quote automobile insurance, and it was an additional $700 per year in savings for MORE COVERAGE!
Was I ever disappointed with USAA!
Had been a USAA member for 53 years, & when I called to ask about a competitive quote, all they could do to reduce premiums, was reduce coverage! A stupid recommendation!
Canceled all insurance with USAA...got a call from one of the VP's about WHY!
After a long discussion, he admitted that a "new" insured with USAA could get better premiums, than me, a 53 year customer!
Disgusted & Disappointed with USAA...never again will they get a chance to insure me!
MORAL of the STORY....Check your premiums & coverages ANNUALLY; no matter what Insurance Company! Shop, shop, shop! It could save you Hundreds of Dollars a year!!
Best of luck on your Insurance coverage!!
