allegro bus questions

Hello guys
Long time Dynasty driver looking for the Allegro Bus with a 605 Hp motor. Is the 2018 and 2019 the same chassis?

If not what is the difference.

I know that the 2019 is a Powerglide chassis. Just download a 2018 brochure to see what that is. Also, there is a much bigger difference between the 2 years, as 2019 was the first year for the full electronic package that is typical in most higher end coaches now. We love our 2019 Bus and the 450 hp is fine for us. The 605 is a real brute!

Anything with the 605 is not just an engine choice upgrade. Transmission and driveline also upsized. It is a very nice jump.

605 takes up more room and storage options

And I believe it creates a step up in the back, if that is an issue. For me, I like the flat tile all the way through.

Both years are on the Powerglide chassis. As suggested go to the Tiffin Motorhomes , click on the owners tab, then owners hub, from there you can find all the information you need on the buses you’re looking at in the brochure section.

The 605 does have a step into the rear closet and a ledge under the clothes rod
But the tiffin brochure claims the 605 has 257CF of Basement storage and the 450 only 237CF

A consideration for the 605 is fuel economy. Looking at some used coaches I have been looking at the on board fuel economy indicators. Looks like ~5 mpg on good days.

Good point. I got 8.7 mpg (no toad) with my 450 HP on the 1200-mile drive bringing it home from Florida.

I get 6 24 on my dynasty. lol

So the mpg is less on a 650 vs 450?

Fuel economy will depend on the driver as much as engine size, if are a eazy driver you should get better mileage with the 605, if you drive it like the 450 you have now.

Scroll through to picture 37. This is typical of the large bore engines.

Best I saw was a 2009 C15 @ 5.5 mpg.
