Allegro Bus Tile Floor

We recently purchased a 2018 Allegro Bus (37AP) and are starting to notice surface scuffing on the gloss tile floors caused by the galley slide rollers. Is this a common occurrence and does Tiffin have a fix or remedy to eliminate further floor damage caused by the Teflon rollers?

Thanks, Win B.

You may need some slide adjustment done, but we still have a bit of scuffing that is easily removed off the tile floor by using Awesome brand cleaner.

That's a fairly common problem, not only with Tiffins but with other brands that use similar slide transport rollers. One thing that helps is to periodically clean the dust and dirt off the rollers that gets embedded. Also, keep the dust and sand on the floor swept up before moving the slides. Some have started putting plastic table place mats under the rollers to give the roller something to rest on.

We were at the Red Bay Service Center with our 2018 Bus in June and one of the issues was the loud squeaking and floor marks made by the PS front slide. When we took the technicians for a ride so they could hear the noise, one of them said that's pretty common. We stopped and put the slide out, he put a small rug under the front roller and brought the slide back in. No noise, no marks, but seems like a strange solution to a common problem. I've since bought a few small rubber backed door mats at Walmart to use.

Our ceramic tile gets roller marks on it as well. I use Flexible-Cutting-Mats from Dollar tree. Cut them into four pieces and tape to tile with clear 2" packing tape. Thin but tough. Two sheets in each pack. Can hardly see them and they last a couple weeks when moving every few days. Tried other material, but this is the best so far. Tape glue cleans up easy. Unlike duct tape.
Tiffin says they have been trying to find a roller that dosn't leave marks on floor. No joy yet.
