Hello

My 2017 allegro open road didn't come with a Key fob .
Is this standard on this coach
If not , can an aftermarket system be easily installed
Thx

The Ford F-53 chassis for the Open Road only comes with an ignition key. No key fob is used on this model. Not sure what benefit an after market key fob would provide if one is even available.

The 2017 brochure does not list remote entry as a feature. The only way to tell for sure is if you have the door lock contacts on the hinge side of the door frame (two brass buttons) and a TriMark controller in the basement you have remote entry and are missing the key fob.

There are several aftermarket door locks. Here’s a review on some of them:
https://www.smartrving.net/best-rv-door-locks/.

I have looked to do this myself but so far have not upgraded my 32SA. There are multiple options out there. Just check the fit.

Unfortunately there are no option for replacing the door lock with one that includes a remote.

What did I miss? Looks like several out there with keyless FOB remote unless I’m completely misunderstanding something.

Yes there are, but when you check you will find none of them are compatible with the Tiffin Open road models, or at least that is what past inquires have revealed. If they come up with one they will find lots of takers.

Thanks for that info. I never got around to measuring the lock on mine and thought they were all from the same manufacturers and standard sizes.

I added a system to my motorhome that has both a fob and the keypad by the door. Fobs are collecting dust. I NEVER carry the keys. Only use the code.

My Winnebago has a handle setup no one makes a drop in keyless replacement for. I made my system from junkyard parts.
My point is, with the keypad, I found no need for a fob. I wouldn’t limit your search to setups with a remote fob.
