It got me to the same place as the Prevost next to us for $1M+ or so less money...

Not sure about older Allegros or other gassers, but given how how the "cab" is now, it's not like you are sitting next to the howling and hot beast anymore.

I just traded in my 2011 Damon Daybreak with a 8.1 Vortec for the 2013 Allegro 36LA V10 Ford and I must say the V10 runs smoother and seems to have more power and the transmission changes easier.JM2CENTS.

Have a 2016 36la with the new 6 speed v10 and sumo springs. Absolutely thrilled with it and kept a bunch of money in the bank not listening to all the " must have a diesel hype"

Excellent engine! My first was on a 2001 Tropical that I had for 15 years and 64000 miles. I now have a 2015 Allegro with 5000 on the clock. You will get years of good service with this as long as you service it regularly. In my case, changing the oil every 5000k or once a year with Moblil 1.

Triton V10

Had the same engine in my F250 pickup. Only expenses in 5 years of ownership were 10 oil changes at $50 a crack at the Ford dealer.
Now with the Tiffin and low annual miles driven 1 change after winterizing in my back yard costs me $30 a crack.
Best engine out there bar none . Smooth running, quiet, reliable, low maintenance requirements.

I concur...and I'm not a Tiffin owner or a Ford fan. It is a good engine for what it's been designed to do...pull big Ol' honking motor homes !!!

Happy with ours. It is a 2013 and we have put 35,000 miles on it in a little over two years. We added the 5 Star Tune and that was a nice improvement.
