Another, what is this thread

Not sure how I haven't seen this in the last 9 months but my wife will tell you, I don't see the ketchup bottle in the front of the fridge.

What in the world is this "plug"?

Depending on how big that hole is, it's a power port or vacuum hose port.

My Guess

Judging by the markings on the inside of that receptacle, Iíd guess itís a 12 volt plug. Put a tester on it and prove me wrong.

Cheers

Looks to me like a 12 volt power source, similar to a cigarette lighter port. With the right cord you can supply power to or charge your favorite electronic device.

Yup, 12V outlet. Ours was on the side of the dinette counter in our 45 LP. That's where I would plug in the TPMS repeater.

It makes sense now, certainly a 12 volt plug. I've never seen one like that before. Thanks for the responses.

It's a 12 volt port that accepts a cigarette lighter plug. The amount of current you can pull depends on the size of the fuse or breaker on the far end, and the gauge of the connecting wire.

And it might be powered buy the chassis battery or the house battery... I have two just like yours in my 1985 Fleetwood... the one by the couch is powered by the chassis battery, the one in the bedroom is powered by the house battery.

It looks like a port directly into the world of electron flow where electrons come flying out at the speed of light if the correct device is inserted. AKA a cigarette lighter socket or a power port.
