Antenna Cable

Hi Folks,I am attempting to install a CB radio in my 2017 Allegro Red . It looks like the previous owner or the dealer cut the antenna wire but I;m not sure . Is the antenna lead the copper colored shielded cable? I located the end of that cable but it has been cut off under the dash I will have to splice a new connector to it if that is the correct one.Any info will be greatly appreciated !
Thank you
Pete V

It probably is the antenna cable as they are copper in the core/center, with shielding on the outside. I would just put a standard coax connector on what you have now, then get a barrel connector, and attach a small regular patch coax cable to reach the desired location of the radio.
