Any idea what SPN 3216 FMI 20 means?

I've got the 450 hp ISL engine (2104 Allegro Bus 37AP) with an MIL light on, SPN 3216 FMI 20 code. I've searched for a cross reference on the Cummins codes, but none show that complete code.


I think it is the same code that has periodically appeared, then cleared by itself. I'm just trying to get ahead of the issue if this code is going to continue to come up periodically.

After treatment 1 Intake NOx Sensor-Data not rational - Drifted High

That is emissions and usually covered under the emission warranty

Could also be . . . The technician diagnosed the problem and found the DEF dosing valve was partially plugged which caused the the NOx sensor to drift high.

HI great info but I have a question, I see that list states 2013. Do you know if they still cover more recent coaches i.e. ny 2016 Phaeton 44OH ISL9's? Thxs

I don't think they redefine/reassign a code. If it is on the list, then that is the cause. The lists I was finding online didn't have anything over 2999.
