Any way to Manually Release Air Bags

I need to lower my 36GH a few inches to store inside.

Can this be done?

Bob

P.S. My first post!

Welcome !

This should probably work. I have done it with my previous FR Berskshire, but have not needed to yet with my Tiffin.

I would activate lowering the jacks so the air bags deflate, and before they hit ground, stop the process. Then I would bring the jacks back up.

Bob, welcome to the forum. To get any sort of a meaningful response, this kind of question needs to include the chassis manufacturer, year and chassis model. Most include these kind of things in their signature or their Avitar picture pane. I assume a Tiffin, but that's a guess.

If you have HWH leveling system should have a air dump button so you can dump air bags

from WA State.

If HWH you may need to hold the dump button in or it will come right back up.

Basically, no. You can dump the airbags but as soon as put the coach in gear, they will re-inflate. You might want to contact Tiffin and HWH and ask them if there is a way to override. In the meantime, you can either raise the door or lower the floor.

You should also have manual cables to the air tanks to purge water if you pull them and hold it will empty you whole air system. You most likely have a quick connect air outlet near the manifold and you can bleed the air from there as well. But when you start the engine it will start to build air again. so the best bet I think might be to insert a male air chuck in the air outlet on the manifold and it will continue to bleed air as the coach is running and prevent the air back from inflating.

Bad idea as the brake system will not develop enough pressure to unlock the rear brakes. You only want to drain the suspension side of the air system. Pulling the air tank drains is the brake system side of things.

Moving coach with air suspension released

After experimentation, does not appear to be possible.

easy, manually dump the bags, then drive forward 10 feet, stop, put in neutral, manually dump again, drive forward another 10 feet, etc.

you're really only trying to clear your AC Cowlings, Sat antenna, or Awning boxes, if any... if the bags don't have time to air up, you should be able to clear your 'doorway', if that's your concern.
