Apple TV and PS5

We recently acquired a 2017 Tiffin Allegro Bus 40SP, and are getting around to setting up the TVs. It has a Blu-ray player and satellite connection in the bedroom, as you know, neither of which we want to use.

Instead, we want to hook up an Apple TV box and a Playstation 5 game system to the TV(s).

It appears that the coach uses a couple of HDMI splitters to direct the content to all four of the TVs? Is it possible to hook the Apple TV and PS5 into those, or do we need to connect those devices directly to a single TV, as we had in our sticks & bricks?

I'd appreciate any guidance in getting this configured.

Yes you can connect those devices to the HDMI splitters to provide their signals to each TV. Be aware though that if they are the original splitters they are prone to failure.

I was in the same boat as you. I disconnected each HDMI cable from the splitter and verified which TV each went to and labeled each (mine were not labeled). Now I just plug the Apple TV into the specific HDMI cable for the TV I am watching. I plan to go even further with this. Once I figure out how to remove the inside TV's from the wall (can't figure out the mounting brackets), I plan to have an HDMI drop down below the TV so we can just hookup at each TV when we want instead of the entertainment cabinet. Would be nice to have the option. My granddaughter always has some sort of gadget to hookup and hooking it up in the bedroom when using it in the living room seems to become a big issue.

If you do the same and get the TV down, would love to know how you did it. I've seen mention of 2 screws on the bottom bracket that must be removed. Mine does not have those screws. I'll get around to calling Tiffin at some point.

We have a 2020 45OPP...I added a additional stand alone HDMI splitter between the Blu Ray player and the coach splitter. It allows me to have 4 inputs. I can choose between
1 Wally
2 Apple TV
3 Amazon Firestick
4 Blu ray player.

REI 4x1 HDMI switcher # HD-401P. Bought on Amazon

Thank you. Sounds like it won't be too hard to set it up; hopefully it'll work.

I've just bought a HDMI switch, since I forgot that my wife also has a Nintendo Switch. So she can hook that and the PS5 up to the switch to choose which game system to use.

The advantage to using the HDMI splitter system that Tiffin installs is you can select the input and use any device on any TV instead of being limited to just one. From what I understand, you do have to change the resolution on Apple TV to 1080i for it to work properly.
