Archiving 2018 Tiffin Owners Manual Bag contents in PDF files

I've kinda made a habit of downloading the pdf manual for new purchases for archiving and reducing the amount of paper clutter we hang on to. Last night I downloaded all the manuals in our 34PA Tiffin Black Bag and was pleased to find that they were all available online in PDF. There were only a couple of one sheet instructions that needed scanned to PDF. All on thumbdrive now

I had kinda expected to find the Tiffin Flash Drive loaded with these manuals but it was just build specific info. It's a big empty flash card so I also archived all manuals onto the Tiffin Flash card.

Good idea. I did the same thing. I bought our 2016 32SA used and several pieces of doc and the CDs and Tiffin flash card were missing. One email to Tiffin an 3 days later all that stuff arrived in the mail.

Just wondering

Did you just scan and save to a flash drive? I did not see anything on Tiffin site or when I Google it on scanning entire black bag. I need to do this. Carting the black bag to cumbersome and takes up space

Your assistance is appreciated

I like having the manuals on my laptop for quick reference but I miss being able to add personal notes in the margin which PDF doesn't allow so I keep my paper manuals and when I have something important to add I write it in my paper copy.

I've seen some ads for programs that allow you to convert PDF documents to MS Word. I have the one that allows me to change a MS Document to PDF and am pleased with it. Has anyone tried a PDF conversion program they could recommend?

Drive safe and enjoy - Richard

I was able to d/l the original (not scanned) pdf to match everything that was in our bag. There were only a couple of single page handout items that required scanning.

If you look at your oem manuals, there is a manual or publication 'part number' on/near the cover. I used that # in google searchs to locate the pdf. In some cases I found updated/expanded versions of manuals for a given device that I kept as well.

P/M me if you have issue finding one - I'll check my flash drive.

I've only used Acrobat and it works great as you might imagine but it's kinda pricey for home use. I understand MS word now enables opening and converting pdf docs to word docs but I have not tried.

I prefer the Foxit PDF Reader. Even the free version includes a "typewriter" for adding text to a PDF.

Thanks, I was wondering what this weeks project was going to be and now you have provided one for us.
