Question Assistance Required

I am in the process of looking for a used Motor home. Never had one before. I hope to go view a 1997 Allegro Bus Diesel. I don't really have any further info on the unit until I go see it.
If anyone out there has experience with such a unit, can you advise me the plus or negatives.
With thanks.

We purchased a 2003 Tiffin 40' Bus two years ago. We are very happy with it, but hopefully you are able to do minor repairs yourself or you might be spending a lot of money paying someone else to do them. I do most of my own maintenance an keep a log of all items for future reference. I have added a Safe t plus steering system, TST tire pressure monitor, a Scan Gage to monitor engine parameters, Amp Charge to keep the chassis batteries charged. Replaced a lot of minor items in the bus.
If you are willing and able to do your own repairs you should be OK, an extended warranty is a good idea on an older coach if you are purchasing from a dealer.
Good luck, Ed

I agree with Ed. While the Bus is (and has been) an excellent mh, it is still 18 years old. Depending upon how the previous owners kept up with repairs and maintenance, will determine what real shape it is in.

With you being a newbie in this diesel motor home world, you may find the repairs and maintenance a little over whelming. I highly recommend that prior to purchase, you find someone who has lots of experience (professional?) to check it out first.

Good luck
