Where "exactly" is that gear located? Is it in the motor/transmission or on top of the jack itself?
I need to dig up my pictures I took when I serviced/repaired mine.

I put up with the Atwood jacks on my 09 phaeton for 4 years then finally got fed up with never knowing if they would retract. Replaced them last Oct. with equalizer jacks. Am super happy with them. Cost $4100 but was able to sell all my old system, indivually, on eBay, for $4300. It is nice not worrying about them anymore.

Atwood level legs
Well,we finally got tired of fooling with the Atwoods !!! Drove to Southern Michigan and had new Bigfoots installed,LOVE THEM,at least so far, certainly hope they work for several years.
We did keep the old levellegs also and I'll put them in the classified section if anyone needs parts.

Atwood
I also did the same. Went with the Bigfoot and are very happy with them so far.
I Too have my Atwoods; thought I would use them on a car hauler trailer I have; that were removed by bigfoot and would like to see them go. So if interested contact me. Three if not four work, never had issues with them until one day and one (the best) stopped. Oh well the bigfoots are great. Have to say the attwoods did me well, untill, but I like the security of BF. Great people to work with. Just take your check book, an RV thing I guess
