Auto roof vents

My Phaeton has 3 powered, auto-on and auto-open/close Fan Tastic vents.

I want to cover the vents with Camco roof vent covers.

My question is, with the Camco coveres in installed, will the vent cover open far enough to stop against the roof vent.

Will it damage the vent fan motors to stop because the vent cover is hitting the Camco vent cover.

I guess this covers my question.

Doesn't seem to.

My 3 have been doing that since 2008.

When I replaced our vents with Fantastic Fans I just had to buy the larger vent covers, it works great with the new covers

Fantastic Fans

We like the Fantastic Fan Vent Hoods. We like them in black or dark grey. The white, not so much .... and note, we generally don't like black. It's just more practical for the application, because they get cleaned on a less frequent basis. The Fantastic Fan hoods physically match to the Fantastic Fan dimensional and operational configuration. It's a good fit. They have served us well.

But in any case, put hoods on your coach. They greatly improve your ventilation options. Pat

Camco and Fantastic vent covers are about the same size. I have used both. To answer your question, it will not harm the vent motor or fan when the vent cover hits the inside of the camco cover. Fantastic fans automatically stop when they hit an obstruction.

We use the gray fantastic ones on our coach (installed at Tiffin by after hour techs) and they work fine. They have not been an issue over the last 18 months.
