Just upgraded to new 2022 32sa from a 2016 version. The awning appears to only open by use of the alternate controls above the drivers seat. It also retracts every time we close the door. It appears in a few blogs there may be a remote control or alternate way to control the awning. Can anyone confirm this?

I have the 2021 32SA and had the same problem with the awning closing when the door closed or the slightest bit of air passing by. As well as holes in the awning. We took it to the Tiffin Service Center in Red Bay and dropped it off. They took it to the Girard Awning shop nearby to fix...Tiffin didn't fix it for whatever reason.

We used it for a week on the way home before putting the coach in winter storage. The awning appeared to function properly (fingers crossed) we didn't get to use it much.

I asked about a remote control as well because I thought it was supposed to come with one. I never received an answer and I forgot to ask about it again.

The controls above the driver seat were the only ones which control my awning.

I too have a 2022 32SA and I read in the manual for the awning that a remote control is to be a part of the package. I have it on my list to ask Tiffin about. Please keep us posted and so will I .
