Baggage door removal

Does anyone know how to remove a lower baggage door with an S (J) type hinge.
I need to repair a damaged door.
Tiffin says to lift door up about 100 degrees then push in. Doesn’t work.

My hinges have rivets at each end. I would drill out the rivet, slide the door sideways to remove, and just put a screw back in when finished. Maybe not, as when the door is closed, it sure should not slide sideways.
