Bathroom electric vent not working

Hello friends! Just got back from a trip and noticed that my half bath electric vent will not open and the fan will not turn on, the light at the panel is green when pushed but nothing happens, then I also noticed that the rear full bath the electric vent door opens but the fan does not turn on, what are the odds of two bad motor fans?? Have anyone out there has had a similar problem?? This is on a 2015 Allegro Red. Any suggestions??? I did check the fuse that is by the speed nob and they are OK. Thank You!

vent fans

SJW

Not sure about the first fan, but the second fan that the lid opens on has a little switch that the lid will let pop up to make the fan run may be stuck. When the lid closes it will push the switch down and shuts the fan off.

I had to get on the roof with lid open and sprayed some WD 40 on the switch and that did take care of it.

It is a little round button that the lid pushes down. This was on our 2007 Phaeton.

Hope this helps. Don.t really know about the other fan not even opening the lid.

Do you have a knob on the fan that would indicate it was a thermostat? Some fans have a thermostat and won't run if the temp it's sensing is below the point it's set to turn on. If you have one give it a twist.

It was an easy fix idea. Looks like you have a time with a meter in your future. Good luck. Probably a bad switch or broken wire somewhere up there.

Not sure about the Allegro Red, but in my Bus, there are: the raise/lower switch, the in/out switch, the thermostat (cold to hot) rheostat, and the fan speed switch (3 speeds) to consider. The bathroom fan doesn't have have the in/out switch, nor the thermostat.

When you raise the vent, the fan should kick on, obviously. But if the MANUAL knob isn't properly turned, the motor won't come on. Try pushing the MANUAL knob in(up) to allow the motor to work and open the vent. One of mine was down, and would not allow the electric functions to work properly.
