Battery Time-Out?

Just purchased a new Tiffin last week and I think something was missed on the walk through. If the coach sits overnight, when I open the door the steps dont come out and it appears all 12v items in the house part arent on (touchscreen wont come on) when I turn the ignition key on, all works fine and the steps will come out and retract. Is there a time out switch somewhere that I am missing, getting old to hoist myself up to get in.
Thanks in advance

Sounds like your house batteries are dead. Turning on the ignition switch closes the relay that connects your starting battery to the house batteries, restoring power to the house side.

That's my guess anyway, I'd be making sure it was charging from shore power and you haven't inadvertently left some loads turned on.

Could be as simple as the "salesman" switch is turned off. Also know as the house battery disconnect.

There is no timeout on the 12v house system. What you are probably seeing is the chassis batteries powering both the house and chassis. From your description, the house batteries are dead because even if the house disconnect switch by the door was turned off the step would still operate. What 12v appliances, lights, furnaces, etc did you leave on to drain the batteries overnight?

I may be wrong, but isn't the step powered by the CHASSIS battery?

On both our Allegro RED and our Phaeton the steps are powered by the house batteries.

You might check your inverter. If it's left on it can drain the batteries, but I wouldn't think it would do that overnight.
