Black tank indicator

2012 Tga34 rough road Flagstaff to Phoenix my tank sensor came off the tank. Wires still connected and working however in trying to replace in exact spot it reads 2 green when empty. I confirmed empty 2 ways. A. Checked hose draining while spraying B. Had wife pour 5 gallons water through toilet and watched it drain. So how do you get your head and hands up on the tank to get sensor exact and what do you use to stick it on . It had a rubber glue on one corner but is dried out and not sticking now. I just reflex taped temporary. How do you get it to read correct.

Can you make it equidistant to the other sensors? I had that happen and lay on my back under the RV to find the spot and then sat up to reach it. I used alcohol to clean the space and Gorilla glue and temporary tape to attach. I was not too worried since those indicators never really worked anyway. It's empty when it stops draining.
