They are plastic and a JB Weld specifically for plastic is probably the best bet. Plumber's putty is not a good sealant. It is only used to seal between a sink drain basket and the sink and may take years to harden, then it crumbles apart.

Several years ago we developed a pretty severe leak in our fresh water tank. I used J B Water Weld as a temporary repair to get through the remainder of our several week trip. I gave it a couple of hours and then filled the tank. Not a drip and the leak is still repaired.
