Blinds and valances

I am replacing the blinds and want to do something to the valances. I am thinking about taking the fabric off and painting them. Anyone have any ideas or done similar?

You might be disappointed with the condition of the plywood after you pull the covering off. Lots of staple holes and glue residue. Just make yourself new ones.

On my Southwind, I removed a couple of the valances and put new fabric on them.. On mine it wasn't to big of a job, mainly figuring out how they were originally assembled and installed..

Replacing Day / Night shade valance fabric covering – 1999 Southwind 35S

1999 Fleetwood Southwind 35S (Ford F53 6.8L V10 275hp 4R100 4 spd trans) - Toad 2003 Saturn Vue.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.
