Brake lights blink when brakes not applied

Has anyone had a problem with Allegro Open Road 31SA (Ford gas) of having the tail/brake lights flicker or light up for a few seconds when the brake pedal has not been depressed? This is a 2015 Allegro and have noticed this behavior intermittently since we got the coach new. Seems to occur mostly when accelerating and climbing a grade. Most of the time it is unknown to the driver and I only learned of it when my wife following in separate vehicle called on walkie-talkie to ask if or why I'd applied brakes when climbing a hill. As she noticed this repeatedly, I also began noticing that when it occurred for several seconds, I noticed that the accelerator pedal felt "dead" briefly then resumed accelerating. Also noted that rpms on tach dropped at the same brief time about 500 to 1000 rpms. Seems like some sort of short or low voltage problem and will be taking it to both Ford and Allegro but just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with this Allegro or other brands on the Ford chassis.

I don't have your coach but if both sets of bulbs are flickering on the high element of the bulb. 1st place I would check is the brake pedal switch. It's contact is adjusted to make contact when the pedal is depressed to a specific point. Maybe the adjustment got loose and needs readjusting or reattached. Or maybe it has gone bad, bang on the foot pedal arm to rattle the switch, does this cause the lights to flicker. If you have an electric brake unit for aux towing, Unplug it and see if your problem goes away. If one of these things don't help, then you have a 12 v line intermittently contacting your brake circuit. It could happen in a relay, it could happen at a terminal end or connection point, or it could be a chaffed wire making contact. Most wiring problems happen at a connection point. Good luck

My Phaeton chassis is different from yours, however, I just had a similar situation. My problem was the brake light switch that Freightliner has had trouble with and they told me they had replaced several of them on new coaches. I discovered I had a problem with the brake lights staying on or flickering while I was in a normal driving mode. My problem was discovered when my wife was following me in our toad. I found that I needed to lift up on the brake pedal after each time I stepped on the brake in order for the brake lights to go off.

On my chassis, there were two switches that they replaced. Have someone follow you and see if your lights will go out when you raise the brake pedal.
