Breeze 28' Changing Out Water Filter
I have been unable to get the wrench around the filter to change it out in my 2011 Breeze which is in a corner of one of the basement storage areas, but blocked by what seems to be a large board covering most of the storage area. I'm tempted to cut out part of the board, but can't tell what its function is and don't want to do any permanent damage.....Has any Breeze owner dealt with this issue? Thanks for any help!

Breeze47 ... I removed that board from my unit as it is just a cover that hides the holding tanks. I think it comes out by removing several screws. In fact I now use the area behind it and on top of the tanks for extra storage. I can always re-install the board at any time if I ever needed to but the bay is much more useful without it.

I also have had that board out of mine. Mine just fits in, although a bit tight, and has no screws holding it. Bending it slightly in the middle gave me enough room to get it out.

No problem to pull that board out and cut it. Also you may want to move the drain hose forward a bit to give you more room.

Thinking about buying a 28 Breeze....Any Regrets
Hi ,
My wife and I are thinking about buying an allegro breeze 28 and wanted to get your advice. How does it handle...seen some posts about it being more difficult than a larger MH? Also any other issues or regrets about size?
thanks

No Regrets--We love it! Have had 40 foot 4 slide down to 26 foot 1 slide and at this time in our life, it is ideal! I did 3 things to make it ride really well:
1. Load it for a trip and weigh each wheel-then use the tire pressure table to set tire pressures. When I got mine all tires were 110 psi. After weighing, I now set them at 65 rear and 80 front.
2. I got mine aligned after I loaded it.
3. I had a safe-t-plus installed
We now have over 14,000 miles on it and really love it, as does our cat and large dog.

thanks very much for the quick response. I saw some blogs about some issues with braking on 5%-7% inclines, have you experienced that? Do you mind sharing what is involved and cost of the safe-t-plus?
We are going out Saturday morning to test drive a 2012 28BR. thanks so much for the comments, they are helpful and encouraging.

Tiffin installed the safe t plus on mine under warranty at no charge. It does help the steering a lot. Mine also came with the mode switch disabled and could only be downshifted to 4th gear. Again under warranty, they reprogrammed the transmission to allow down shifting to any gear, and activated the mode switch so when pressed, a light shows it active and shift points are changed some to operate in "economy" mode. I have driven about 1,000 miles since that was done, and have not seen much of an improvement in fuel mileage which is consistantly around 10 MPG regardless of what the average fuel mileage shows. It is way off and has the latest software update installed on it 2 weeks ago. Only fuss from my wife is the lack of adequate closet space for her "stuff". She is already wanting a 32'

In our 14,000 miles(which will be well over 20,000 by August), we have gone up and down steep hills. Our steepest was going down a 19% grade in eastern Canada. We downshifted to 1st and away we went with only a few taps on the brakes. Going up steep hills it's a bit slow but, what the heck, I'm retired
