In the Tiffin world the "Big Three" refers to three issues Tiffin had for 4-5 years. Wet bay floors, roof rail cracks and leak in driver side slide out. They are repairing these items FREE even after normal warranty expires at their Alabama factory. Don't let this scare you away.

The C7 rear engine needs to have the CAC and radiator cleaned periodically as well as coolant and thermostats. There are many posts on these topics. We are happy with our Phaeton, however remember ALL MH's are going to have some kind of issues, they are rolling houses going down the highway.

Good luck

07 CAT C7 with 45K should have had the serpentine and water pump belts replaced by now and also the valve lash adjusted. As previously suggested make sure the radiator/CAC are clean. Not sure if the 07 Dip stick needs to have been re-calibrated and the slobber tube extended or not. I know it was necessary on my 04 C7.

Just sold a coach with a C7 Cat engine & had very little trouble with it over 53,000 miles. As was mentioned I did have to run less oil in it to keep it from blowing oil out the slobber tube & making a mess. However, I just purchased a coach with a Cummins ISC engine & like it much better. More power, better mileage with a heavier coach, & cleaner exhaust. As long as you don't get any smaller engine than a C7 you should go down the road just fine. In the end either one will get the job done so I suppose it just depends on the deal.
