Camp Red Bay

Checking to see what the campground looks like for empty spaces, thinking of coming next week for some service, also what is the weather like?

This time of the year there is no problem parking. Starting when the snow birds head north and when they return in the fall are the busiest time. With there "no appointment" approach the turn around has been much better. We will be head to Red Bay in the first week of March to have our list worked on.

We are here currently having an Allegro Bus 45LP built. Blogging about it everyday of build with pics and time lapse video. If you are interested, check out the beginning here, And So It Begins The Building Of Our Tiffin Allegro Bus 45LP | Outside Our Bubble

As far as Camp Red Bay, we have been here a couple weeks now and will not be leaving until the end of February when our coach gets delivered (and we will be following it to the dealership). The campground has been crowded over the weekends but spots are still open, so it's not full. During the week, like today, there's plenty of spots. No issue getting in.

Note: The campground has the water off so it doesn't freeze, so make sure your tank is full. They do have the water on in the wash bay area, so you can fill up if need be.

As of today lots of open spots. Probably 40% empty. I'm due to leave tomorrow so that's one more empty space for you

coach is all done- but weather reports not looking good. We have rain here now but my tow car has a sheet of ice on it so going to stay put at the Allegro Camp until tomorrow. Camp has lots of open spots in it. Rough count at least 45.

If any of you are coming for service I'd request Tony and Steve team for the general tech repairs. They were in bay 6 as of today. Tony is amazingly knowledgeable and helpful and will talk you through all the procedures and help you understand the work being done. I had some other general techs who candidly weren't as personable and communicative as Tony and Steve were.

HATS off to these guys!

Still here watching our coach be built. Been here for going on 6 weeks now. We're thinking one more week and then it should be done. We've blogged about it since day one of the build here, And So It Begins The Building Of Our Tiffin Allegro Bus 45LP | Outside Our Bubble

As far as Camp Red Bay, today, March 1st, it's pretty empty. Things start filling up on Sunday's as that's when people tend to arrive for the week's service. Lots of open spots.

The weather has been really up and down. Today I have our windows open and it's high 60's. Tomorrow, close to 70. However, it's going to get colder again. At night it's cold and sometimes the maintenance people have been turning off the water if it get's below freezing. So make sure you have a full tank when you arrive just in case water is off again. Right now it's on though.

Drive safely!
