Not familiar with this system. Got a direct TV box with a pigtail and went through the procedure with Direct TV on the phone 3 times. Still not working.
Now they say I need more hardware and a service call. Anyone familiar with the Factory installed system that can give me some tips??

You need to check and/or change the DIP switches at the antenna to the Direct TV configuration (see your Winegard manual) first. Make sure your receiver is not SWM only and if it is, you will need to get the appropriate hardware from Direct or another non-SWM receiver.

I had a new winegard inmotion installed on my allegro bus. It worked fine when they installed it. The next time I went to use it. (next day) It would not lock on. I opened the cover to check the switches and it still would not lock on. I noticed that it was looking in the wrong spot for the sattelites ( I have a dish sattelite finder on my app) I manually moved the antenna to the right spot and it locked on. After that it worked normally for the next few months. I did not like it so i took it back and they traded it in on a traveller.

I had a similar problem when I picked up my Allegro Red, I made over 7 calls to Direct TV until finally I spoke with the correct person, in my situation I would only get one channel highlighted and everything else was gray and I could not enter the channel, the issue was the receiver was set to High Definition and as we know the Traveler does not pick up HD signal, once this was changed my worked like a charm!!! I hope this helps!!!

The domes do not pick up HD with Directv but the Winegard Trav'lers do and are highly recommended. You will be a lot happier if you just "Dump the Dome"!
