Chassis Air Problem-Chassis Will Not Air Up!

So I start the bus as usual to leave the campground. Air bags/chassis will not air up etc. Jacks are down....
For several hours I tried everything I could think of. I released air from the system many times via brake petal. Start engine. Pressure builds but chassis will not air up. I hear no air leaking. No air leaking in the engine compartment. Dash gauges show front and rear air filling up and the system will even go poof when pressure reaches what ever psi that makes it go poof !!!

I am thinking a valve in either the HWH system or the chassis is stuck closed?????
Any thoughts on where to start the hunt for the issue?
Luckily campground was not full tonight and we were able to stay over....

Bus is a 09 43 on Spartan chassis..

Thanks
Ed

Yes, Spartan guys are very helpful.
My coach sometimes has to move before it starts to air up. Put it in D and move about two inches, may work. (Bring jacks up first)

I have a similar problem ... I like to start the engine and get some of the engine and air checks out of the way before we break camp, but my air pressure won't go above about 80psi ... slides out and jacks down. I checked the Tiffin manuals, they all say you need to bring in the slides and raise the jacks with the engine off (but ignition on) ... when I do that and then start the engine the air pressure rises to the 120 psi cut-out. You also need the jacks up before the suspension will air up.

Hope this helps.

Pull in the slides and raise the jacks then see what happens.

As far as I know, HWH systems will not air up bags with jacks down...

Gemini has the right idea. I have learned that you need to turn the ignition on and pull in your slides before cranking the engine and filling the bags. I've been in the same situation as you and it nearly drove me crazy. Good luck!

Although to be honest about it I believe my air bags will air up with the engine started, the slides out and the jacks extended. NOT 100 per cent sure though. The next time I move my coach I will see.

Have your serial number handy.

There should be a brake saver valve , between the main air tanks and the air suspension; that may be the cause of your problem.
The valve is set up to stop delivery of air to the suspension in the event of an air bag ( spring) failure , maintaining minimum air pressure, in the main system for brake operation. Location of such a valve , and further diagnosis , would be provided by Spartan.
