Cold Weather Driving

Hello everyone, new to this forum.

My Wife and I are in the initial stages of shopping for an Allegro Red 37 PA (probably used). Living in Michigan cold weather driving in our previous coach was a challenge.

The instrument panel heat was not very effective. We wound up putting a curtain behind the cockpit seats and using the generator to run an electric space heater between the seats.

How well does the panel heat work?
Looking for feedback on experience or ideas on how to address this issue.

Everyone will give their own feedback, but here is what I did to address the issue that you are experiencing.

find a MH that has an Aqua Hot system. Mine is a 400D. It will supply plenty of heat while you are traveling down the road. Mine will also supply
heat to the water bay/tank are with its own separate zone. Oh and plenty of instant hot water. Aqua Hot is either diesel or LP. You will love it

That 37PA is going to be similar to my Phaeton as far as heat goes. You are going to need to run the propane heaters in cold weather, especially if the coach is not winterized. I have driven my Phaeton all day in single digit temps and had only one minor issue. The water lines between the wet bay and water heater froze, but thawed after about one hour in a campground. In the future, I will run some hot water from the tap at one hour intervals while driving in those conditions.
