Considering an older Tiffin

Hi folks. I owned a 2003 40 ft Dutch Star (DP) with all the bells and whistles for 8 years/60K miles, but had to let it go in 2013. In Jan 2017 I will have about $75K to spend on my next MH (going fulltime) and would like a smaller DP (around 34 ft), but of a better quality so I don't have to worry about major expenses (the money is set aside if needed). I have carefully weighed gas vs diesel and diesel is my preference.

My attraction for a Tiffin at this time is the company's reputation for customer service as well as the quality of the vehicles. Can anyone recommend a particular year and vehicle that seems a good option? I'm willing to go back to 2003 if that is necessary. Also, if anyone knows of a particular model that had some unusual problems.

The Tiffin RED 33AA is a really nice and practical floorplan, fits your mfg and diesel size wants, and on reliable Cummins/Allison/Freightliner chassis. Has all the updated features of new coaches (RR, king bed, washer/dryer, pure sine wave inverter, fireplace, satellite, smart tvs, convection mwave, tile, led's, etc). It has 4 slides and really spacious inside. However it's a newer design so there aren't any significantly older ones at the price point you wanted.

I'm not sure what small diesel Tiffin made prior to the 33AA on Freightliner chassis, but some googling might dig it up.

I believe that 2010 was the first year the Tiffin offered the Allegro RED. They did not have a 33AA that year but may have had a model called a 34QFA. About the same size as the 33AA. Also, I am not certain if you could get a residential refrigerator in that years model. Insofar as the diesel engine and chassis is concerned, TMH used the Freightliner chassis and 340 Cummins engine on that years RED's.
