Cover for exterior Spyder panel

I recently had my Spyder panel located outside next to the entrance door go out. Tiffin told me it was ou5 of warranty, but my dealer got them to replace it. I heard the cause it heat from direct sunlight… and that some kind of cover is now available. Anyone know anything about that cove? I’d like to order one.

Thanks!

Interesting... the cover won't cause the panel to heat up even faster given the absence of the open air? Just curious.

I don't think that anything would be hotter than direct sunlight. I wonder if the stuff that they print it with has any UV protection.

I ordered mine yesterday. John (it's a one man operation) seems very responsive. As of yesterday, he is caught up on making covers and gaskets.

Panel cover flaps in the wind

I ordered and installed the cover over my exterior touch panel. Now the problem is that it flaps nonstop as I’m driving down the road. Anyone come up with some good way to keep it close while traveling?

I purchased one as well. But I was thinking of having the dealer install it when I take it back. I am a little nervous of removing the armrest panel to get to the screws. How did that part go?

Sounds like your cover might be missing the magnets. I'm sure that John will take care of you if you give him a call.

Installed the cover about two months ago, love it. Stays closed during travel very easy to install. Fours bolts to remove, small amount of silicone all total about one hour of work.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Sending out a new one next week. Hoping it's an isolated issue.

Spyder has a new design (2 bolt) that I'm working on a solution for. The existing covers are for the 6 bolt version of the keypads. More to come...

My dealer installed it.

Regarding the flapping while traveling, I emailed John, the creator of the cover, and he immediately emailed me back that he would make another flip part of the cover for me… with a stronger magnet to keep it closed.
