Cruiser lift

Does anyone have a cruiser lift installed on Agassi coach? I am looking at having one installed on my 36la. I want to haul my wife's 50cc scooter and a small Yamaha (250cc) motorcycle. I am concerned with stress on the frame and how much the lift would leverage or stress the frame. My coach has just been delivered and we,are picking it up on Saturday. We also plan on towing wa 2014 ford fiesta wheels down. Any thoughts or suggestions on tow bars, inexpensive breaking systems for the fiesta would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Don

Your hitch is rated for 300 lbs of weight. Not having the specs on your lift or the weight of the motorcycles this is a guess but I'd venture to say that you would be way in excess of 300 lbs. So, leave those toys at home and get some bicycles, better for your health anyway.

Both Demco and BlueOx make baseplates for your Fiesta as well as a variety of tow bars (mid $300's for baseplates, $400-$900 for tow bars). You have a choice of braking systems from surge brakes to brake in a box to semi-permanent. Figure a price range of $600 - $1200. You will also need lights on the Fiesta. If you are going to do the work yourself, then $2500 to $3000 should do it. If you are going to have someone else do it, add $400 to $600 in labor to those prices.

An alternate is to get a flat trailer and load the motorcycles and car on it. As long as your tongue weight is below 300 lbs and your total weight doesn't exceed 5000 lbs you could do it that way.

Take a look at ....WWW.VERSAHAUL.COM ......they make a hitch receiver style scooter carrier ( for single & double scooters ) I have the single carrier for our 50cc scooter with a 2" receiver for the tow bar. We tow a CRV and carry a 300lb scooter.....its been flawless.

Your hitch on your Phaeton is also rated for much more weight than the 36LA which is only 300lb/5000lb. I wouldn't recommend that anyone overload a hitch. The OP would be well over his hitches rated capacity with the scooter carrier and the two scooters.

I assumed the 36la had a class 1 hitch......which is what the Versa Haul is designed for.

A Class I hitch is that little 1.25" inch receiver that you see on hitches for a sub-compact car. I believe that is only good for 200 lbs.

Class III is 300 - 500 lb (that's the dead weight rating) hitch. Class IV is 1000+ lbs dead weight. Class V 1200+ lbs.

Ford also puts limits on the hitch weight allowed and I believe it is Ford who derates the hitch to 300 lbs on their chassis.
