Dash Generator STOP Light Blinking

Good day all! We had our oil changed recently on the generator, heard them start it after to test, so we know it runs. However, when arriving at our next stop my eye caught the STOP light blinking on the dashboard switch. I do not remember that ever catching my eye. Ended up at the generator bay on our 2022 34PA and opened the cover to the generator and sure enough that stop light was also blinking, about once per second. But at the generator we could hear a "click" that was synchronized with the light blink.

Not having a lot of time I depressed the STOP button position and heard it (I assume) prime itself and the blinking stopped.

The next day it caught my eye again on the dash switch, same thing.

Now I learned in the Navy about a million years ago you try something once and then investigate further, not keep doing the same thing.

Google returned nothing about this blink process other than error codes and a pattern, which I do not think I have. it is always just a single blink, once per second.

Anyone out there have any knowledge on what this may be? Please and thank you!

I have a 2016 34PA and attached is the manual for my genset. Search the word Blink. If you have your own manual, you should have the same info in yours. Hope this helps.

A steady single blink as you must have found is not in the trouble shooting guides. A guess would be a stuck / defective solenoid. Since it started when after it was serviced, I would suspect that a wire was loosened or damaged during service.

Closed Item...We Think

Well, seems it stopped so we will have a service done. I am suspecting that I improperly shut it down when this problem was occurring and held the stop switch which possibly confused the thing to try and start, but not really start, then the problem would appear.

The generator now starts and stops properly and we were able to use it again other than 1 time. We were at a front lean at a rest stop and the generator would not start, nothing we tried would work. Once we hit the road again I decided to try it again and it started right up and ran. While it made us not stop at the boondocks national park for the night, at least it ran.

Having the fuel filter if it exists and air filter changed when we get our oil changed, tires balanced, and alignment checked next week.

We are hoping it was that a front angle just made the gas not able to enter the generator...we are hoping!

The generator fuel pickup tube is set to at or above the 1/4 tank level for the gas tank. Could be that if you were on a lean and the tank level was in that range and the tube lost sight of the gas. Once on level grade it picked it up again.

On my previous coach I kept getting a steady blink on the stop light after the genset had shut itself off. After it did this a couple times I checked the oil level and it was low. I added oil and it never did it again. I am not sure if the steady blink started before or after the shut down while driving.

If you just had your oil changed it may be a good idea to check the level. Mine shut off with the level between the lower hatch mark and the end of the stick.
