DEF low level

So on our way back to Maine, our 2019 Tiffin RED threw a LOW DEF level alarm then a check engine light. Checked def level tank 2/3, check engine manual said sometime soon. Then next day “very low def “ same thing just filled def then shutdown engine light. Lucky we were in a campground just leaving pulled back into site at 5mph. Shutdown and went to check def, full. Restarted engine no alarm’s except check engine.
So is this just a bad level sensor or wire or a larger issue. I am 550 miles from home.

Pull your codes off the dash and see what they say. Hope I’m wrong but suspect you’re having a def head failure.

Sounds like a failing DEF head so your best bet is to call Tiffin. It may still be covered under warranty. Those are the same symptoms ours had when the head failed.

Codes 3364 and 3521 looks like quality not quantity
Found a local Cummins dealer said he has the part can repair today

If you ever find yourself in the Rochester NY area and need Cummins / Freightliner work I recommend Tracey Road Equipment in Henrietta NY. I texted them at 8 pm received a call back at 7am, they had the DEF head in stock, I got there around 8:30. I had the tow hooked back on and out of their yard at 11:30. Great great people.
All under warranty just signed the paperwork no cost.

Same happened to my 2019. My simulator bailed me out until I could get it in. Luckily it was built and standing by for the pending failure. After I plugged it in, everything ran fine until I could get it into Cummins. I still keep it in case it happens again.
