Thanks, I didn't realize it was buried down in that one thread. It was perfect for the non techy guy like me. All the parts were in stock.

Here's a question.....I need to use the Freightliner plug end on my box. Could I use both connectors (original one in the post) and just wire them both to the board? That way if someone has an emergency I can loan them mine.

OOPS! I was typing the message below while you were posting your. Idea. Oh well, GMTA.
Don, here is some info that might help. The connector is from TE Connectivity from what they calL their HDSCS product family. I have not been able to find a pre-assembled connector with a pigtail cable attached anywhere. You have to buy the connector body and the pins (tabs) separately along with any strain relief that you need. The connector body part number is 1-1703818-1 and is Black (the body color is important. It determines which one of 4 non-interchangeable indexing key positions the connector has)
You have a couple of options one you have located a connector and all the pieces to assemble it.
You could just assemble the plug with a 4 conductor cable however long you like and attach the other end directly to the Arduino connections. You could also go ahead and assemble the DSS with using the Deutsch DT04 cable from Diode Dynamics and separately assemble an “adapter” using the female DT04 connector that you cut off of the DD cable for one end with the Freightliner-style new plug on the other. Then your DSS would be portable and usable for a Freightliner or a Spartan. You might seek out IRV2 user NMBluept. He was the one who figured out which connector the FL chassis used.

Thanks, I ordered all the parts for the Freightliner connector listed in your previous post.

My little brain didn't process what you said until I got the cable today. I will build the box and use the premade cable and then connect the Freightliner plug to the other half of the premade cable. So one will plug into the other and give me two options. Thanks

Hey, I appreciate your response. I have been busy and not able to work on the DSS. Today I finally got everything downloaded and uploaded to the CAN BED. I am ready to finish the installation in the box. I have not seen any comments on testing the unit. Is it safe to plug it up to the MH? If so, what is the test procedure or indications that it will work when required.
Thanks for your help. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

Here's a link to a post that describes one user's test : https://www.irv2.com/forums/f106/def...st-554756.html
The DSS will send a DEF quantity signal to the ECM of 3/4 full. So, I'd think that you should be able to plug the completed DSS into your coach and start the engine. The absence of a Check Engine Light and a DEF quantity indication of 3/4 tank would indicate that it's working as designed.
I suffered a DEF head failure about three weeks ago. When I installed my DSS, I had a full DEF tank. After installing the DSS and starting the engine, the DEF quantity indicated 3/4 full. It took three engine run/stop cycles before the Check Engine Light (and associated SPN codes) self cleared.
Take care,
Stu

What Stu said ^^^^^
A couple of fine points is that 1. Make sure that if you you do decide to plug the DSS up in place of your OEM DEF sensor that you make sure the ignition is OFF before unplugging or re-plugging the connector. And 2. It is not really necessary to start the engine with the DSS plugged in to verify that it is working correctly. If it is going to throw a fault code it will do it whether the engine is running or not. NOTE: IF YOU GET A FAULT CODE it IS necessary (after re-connecting the OEM Sensor) to start and run the engine for 5 minutes three times in a row to clear the spurious codes.
