Looking for connectors
Freightliner has a different plug for the DEF sensor. I've been able to source the plug but the pins for the plug are on back order ( https://www.tti.com/content/ttiinc/e...true&minQty=20)
Anyone have some extras of these pins?

Def Simulator Software
I have not been able to download the software for the DEF Simulator. Every time I try, I get an error message. Would it be possible to email me the file? I have tried going to all messages and links but still get the same message.
I have all the parts and ready to build but can't seem to get the software downloaded.
Thanks

Emailing the file is problematic due to Gmail’s very aggressive antivirus policies. It would be a lot easier to help you solve your problem if you could be more specific about what your error message says but I’ll take a shot at guessing what you are seeing.
If you are getting a message from “Windows Defender” saying “Windows protected your PC” go to this page on the instructions on the DefSim.myERVin.com website and read it.
https://defsim.myervin.com/windows-defender
Let us know if that takes care of the issue, otherwise let us know with a little more info and I’m sure we can figure it out.

Arduino's are very well supported on Mac so there's really no reason this should be Windows-only install. I suspect they just made a package to automate install, perhaps the developer would allow the files to be downloaded directly and installed using some of the Mac arduino tools.

When you download the install package, it includes the binary file. You can install them via the Arduino IDE. The automated install was done so you didn’t have to install the IDE.

Flyboy013 has already built a Mac DMG/install package for the DSS.
The Mac package (DMG) has been uploaded to the GitHub site:
https://github.com/flyboy013/DEF_Sen...lator_Firmware
The file name is DSS.dmg
Here's a direct quote from Archer2 on these forums and a founding member of the DSS project regarding the Mac build:
"I have not yet had the opportunity to generate the installation guide for it. In short, you can download the file (DSS.dmg) and double click (ie. mount the image) it. A folder will open showing its contents. You will see an install.sh file. Right click on it and open it with Terminal (may have to select Other and then Terminal). It will run the install script and prompt you type of device. Connect the device and then press the button for the appropriate device type. It will give you another popup showing if it was successful.”
Hope this helps!
Sam

Hey @JRountree. You posted 2 days ago asking for some help with programming a DSS. I responded 45 minutes later with a question then I followed up with a suggestion. You haven’t checked back in for more than 2 days.
Do you still want help or were you just posting a rhetorical question?

Okay, I'm one of those guys that can do most of this work and have the box and cable holder. The board and cable are on the way. I have a 2019 Freightliner XCR chassis with the ISL9. I guess I should have read further in this post as I now see the cable won't fit my Freightliner.
For us non-technical guys, what do I need to make the cable work, a different cable or an adapter. Can someone list what I need and if it needs to be assembled.
Thanks
