On EFS Open Road app, I actually saw diesel go down over night here in FL. A T/A station at Baldwin FL was $5.50 last night and $4.62 this morning. Pump price is $5.61 and need the EFS card to get the discounted price. Prob won’t last long at a buck off per gallon!

Not totally surprising. Oil prices peaked around $130/bbl, fell to $103ish, and are trading at $109 at the moment. About the only sure thing is that significant volatility will continue at least until the Russia-Ukraine war is resolved, and likely beyond.

Saw a news blip where fuel was $7 / gallon in Gordo, Ca, just below Big Sur. Here is Central Oregon, diesel is running at a $5 / gall average. TSD cards on I5 are cheaper, for sure.

Open Road May Not be Accurate Due to Volatility

Beware that Open Road App may not update quick enough to reflect the volatility. Here is an e-mail I received from them.
Dear Valued Customer: Due to recent world events beyond our control, we are experiencing historically rapid increases in the price of fuel. This means our Merchant Partners (fuel stops) are forced to change pricing faster than the data can be updated in our Fuel Pricing Logistics Systems. This causes the real-time price at the pump to be temporarily different from the price you are seeing in our App. The software will update and correct itself, but there could be a lag depending on when you fuel.
We are doing everything in our power to get you accurate pricing in a timely manner from our partners. Presently, our team is meeting with our fuel merchants, logistics partners, and programmers to minimize these price discrepancies. In the meantime, please verify the retail price at the pump before fueling to be sure you know exactly what to expect.
We realize this is an inconvenience so thank you for your patience as we work to get these issues resolved.
Happy Fueling

That is very believable. Heck last Thursday took my DW to her drs appt. and noted that we should get gas on the way back. I think it was like $3.49 at Sam's then on the way back an hour and 1/2 later we pulled into Sam's priced jumped 35 cents up to $3.84. This was mid-day not over nite ... needless to say we pulled in because by the next day on the way to golf I noticed it was now over $4....
wow jumped like a $1 in just a day or so...Diesel jumped even more in one place it was 5.29 while most were 4.99. I agree with some comments that I expect traveling and Campgrounds for some of these new RV owners are in for a shock. I've already seen CG cost go up as much as $20 or more a nite now add fuel cost which still probably continue to go up which impacts everything else out there.

It's all about perspective. Be thankful you aren't driving a boat. At 60 MPH, you would only get 0.6 MPG!
This is with twin 600 HP outboards, but the length is comparable to most class A MHs.

Yesterday, Open Roads showed fuel at the TA in Tonopah, AZ @ 5.49 with a discounted price of $4.62. That's what it was when I stopped and filled up. It seems that prices have leveled for a few days for the system to catch up.
