Display Monitor

Does anyone know if a universal monitor can replace the large display monitor on my 2008 Phaeton?

You probably have a Triplevision system. Tiffin has some sort of a proprietary arrangement with these guys through one of the family or employees. In my opinion, the system is absolutely terrible. Just about no data on the system, plugs, or equipment, you can't get anyone to talk to you about it and it changes settings and displays for no particular reason at any old time. Regardless, I have tried to replace the rear camera once, and was completely unsuccessful. I bought a universal camera from a vendor in Quartzsite and he definitely seemed to be extremely knowledgeable about the numerous different systems he sold and how to hook the new camera up, but I could not get it to work. When I returned it and explained what I tried and saw, he said it appeared the camera may have worked on different frequencies or had a completely non-standard wiring setup. I ended up disassembling and repairing intermittent wiring in the rear plug, and got it working. If I had to repair or replace a part, I think I'd go with a whole new system. Sorry I can't be more help.
