Dometic awning

We Have a 20 ft awing on our Allegro bus that a gust of wind caught and broke the spring. Our first quote was $3600 for a new awning as they no longer make the type that our 11yr old bus has.. an awning with an aluminum wrap. This is a Can$ quote...
We are close to the US border and Washington state. Would prices be better across the line even in US$
PS I know,, should have put the awning in but the sensor for wind speed was working earlier in the day and this gust came out of nowhere.

ShadePro in southern California makes good stuff. Maybe give them a call and see if they have a replacement? Doubt they could recommend an installer in Blain Washington but who knows? Maybe just google Mobile RV Tech in 'town' and see what pops up, then give them a call and feel them out about their experience with awning installation.

I had ShadePro replace my A&E 18' awning with a Colorado brand with their own fabric (instead of Colorado's fabric) and they really aren't that difficult to replace. At least for the manual awnings. They also did my over-the-door awning, and both my slide awnings. I like the material they use and the high strength double stitching.
'02 Winnebago Journey DL, DSDP, 36' of fun.

You should be able to buy replacement parts. If you are in the Vancouver area, I find George at Aquarius 604-240-6570 very helpful.
