I have a 2016 32SA so probably the same handle as yours. Mine was never lit, no wires anywhere near it. I bought an LED light online and put it in the lower bracket. I drilled another hole underneath that bracket and ran the wires down to where the footwell light is. I spliced in the LED wire so now my handle lights up anytime that footwell light is on. I was worried the LED might be too bright but frankly it is almost too dim. It does not add any light to help you get in the RV. It simply has a soft glow.
