Driver side mirror broken on 2017 Tiffin Allegro Bus 40SP

Today while driving a semi swiped our driver-side mirror, shattering the glass.

The convex mirror and camera are fine. The main mirror motor goes up and down, not side-to-side, but that may be due to being jammed by the impact.

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace just the mirror glass, or do we have to replace the whole thing? It looks like it is "MIRROR CHROME HEATED/CAMERA/CAP MOUNT DRIVER SIDE (BUS 2016-2018)" for $1,093.07 in the Tiffin Parts store, which is a bit spendy.

(Images rotated on upload for some reason.)

Your mirror is probably Velvac and you can replace the mirror. There was a similar discussion in this forum a few days ago. If you can get the glass it is probably a DIY job to install.

WOW, that could have been a real disaster..... Here is the number for Velvac Customer Solutions: 800-783-8871 (from their website). The Velvac site seems to say you can purchase replacement parts from them. Also on the site under Library it discusses how to replace the glass.

Thanks. Sounds like I can just replace the glass; just need to figure out the right part. The Velvec site lists 12" and 13" sizes for the mirrors; the 13" includes replacement glass; the $59.50 part is probably what I want.

Yep, I confirmed the part with Valvac, and have ordered it.

Thanks for your help everyone!
