Electric cord reel

I have a 2008 Allegro bus with the southwire RH 54 cord reel, and it blew the fuse or breaker. the chain jumped off and I took off the large sprocket to put it back on and got the two cap screws that adjust the clutch too tight and blew the fuse as the motor couldn't turn it. I would like to know where it is located. I called Tiffin and the man told me on the pass side basement there is a white board with fuses and breakers on it. No joy. I looked in the bay under the driver's seat, and no luck there either. Any ideas?? if anyone has an idea why the chain jumped off, I'd like to hear that too. Thanks in advance. John

The "white board with fuses and breakers" sounds right, but mine is located in the front-most driver's side bay. The chart is hard to read because the print is so small, but you may be able to find it with a flashlight and magnifying glass. The cord reel is operated by 12 volts, so it would likely be the 12V breaker panel the Tiffin guy described. If you find the breaker and it's not tripped, perhaps you can pop open the control switch on the reel to see if 12V is present on it. Could be that the motor's burned out or has a fuse/breaker on it. Here's the G6A Control Panel chart that shows my "cord reel" breaker is #68.

...also, are you saying you didn't find the circuit breaker panel described anywhere on your coach or that you found it but didn't find the breaker for the reel on it? As far as the chain jumping off, I'd just venture a guess that it's some kind of alignment problem, perhaps a mounting screw getting loose, but I've never taken one apart before so take that as a wild stab in the dark.

thanks folks, I talked to Tiffin and he said have someone turn the salesman switch ( the 12V S on the left just inside the door) on and off, walk down the pass side and you will hear the solonoid clicking. I did so and it was on a small panel in the house battery bay. right there was the breaker for the reel. reset the breaker and now I have power to the reel. thanks for the help. and also, the tech support guy said a mis alighnment would cause the chain to jump. I'll check it out. Regards, John
