Electric window

I am curious if there is an override for the electric window that fails to work. They have a process to open or close the slides that won't work, but I haven’t been able to find any information on doing this for the window. If you have had this problem an found a way to get the window open I would appreciate a post.

Take out the screws holding the window to the actuator.

On my 2012 OpenRoad the drivers window often had difficulty closing. I recently was camped next to someone with the same model and the same problem. He told me to pop the switch out of the arm rest. Sure enough, with the switch out the window works fine. Put it back in the hole and it won’t go up.

Maybe it is grounding something out when installed. Try wrapping the switch/installation location with electrical tape. If it works again it points to a grounding issue of the switch, if it still doesnt work it may be a bad wire when in normal position.

Sounds like a defective switch to me or a bad/loose connection at the switch.
