Electrical problem with bedside outlets

We just purchased a 2014 Tiffin Allegro 36LA. We don't have power to each side of the bed's outlets. These are located on each side of the bed in the slide out wall.

Looks like all the breakers and fuses are in good working order.

Anyone out there have some ideas?

Thanks,

AC Power Panel ---check for tripped CB
*Sometimes difficult to see if tripped so any CB for REC/GEN/Service (outlets) turn them OFF and back ON

Check GFCI Outlets (bathroom/kitchen etc)
If tripped the bedroom outlets maybe fed from those GFCI Outlets

Are you ranking about the USB outlets?

If so those can be replaced with ones available on Amazon.

Look up to the floor from your storage bay. A lot of times Tiffin plugs those outlets into a plug underneath. That may have come unplugged

There should also be a gfi in your wet bay that you might want to check. I never thought to look there but learned that the hard way.

Is that the only outlets that don't work ?

If others don't work, check the breakers on your inverter/charger.

If its just the outlets in the slide, look for damaged wiring where things are moving in and out.

OP here.

Yes...It's only the outlets on each side of the bed. The GFI's in the bathroom are good, and the lights above the bed work, although, they may be 12 v.

All other outlets on the coach work, which makes me think there's something going on with the slide connections.

I'll see if there's a loose connector in the bay under the slide, as mentioned.

Not a real big issue....Just want everything to work as it should.

Thanks for all the comments.

You may need to check under the bed. That might involve removing the floor of the under bed storage.

X2. If your bed is on a slide, check in your storage bay for a dislodged 3-pronged plug. This is exactly what happened to me, except on our living room slide with our couch. The wall that the couch was against had wall plugs on either side of the couch. When you look below, look for a wooden (probably covered with some type of covering) box on a side wall with an electric cable going behind it. These plugs coming loose is not an unusual occurrence.

Check under the bed, after removing the panel on the bottom in the storage you might see a “splice” type of romax junction. On mine that’s where it splits to the outlets. Mine rubbed when bed moved in and out. Tiffin quality control.Attachment 1

Thanks Ken.

Didn't know there was a panel under the bed storage. I'll check it out.

Your attachment looks concerning, as to a possible fire starter. Did you report this to Tiffin? If ours looks like that, I'll sure contact them!

Great info.....Thanks again.

Yes, I’ve spoke to them regarding this and multiple other things. Kind of think it falls on deaf ears. Just keep fixing things as they come up. Situation normal sadly.
Still happy with Tiffin over previous Fleetwood products. To bad we come to expect this though.

I had the same problem on my 2018 RED. It was a loose connection under the bed. I had to take the bed apart to get to it. Fun, fun, fun... NOT!
