EMS 50 second Remote display mounting position ?

Picked up an additional remote digital display for the EMS HW 50. Now with only 14 ' of wire I need to find a mount location. May be limited to the bedroom.
Where did you mount your remote display ?

What kind of ends are on the cable? Can it be lengthened? If it's not clear from the instructions, I'd call tech support and ask them. I had to make a new cable for a similar type panel once.

You don't need anything special. Wire, ends, and a crimp tool can be found at Lowes, Home Depot or any electronics supply store. A simple coupler can also be bought to join another longer wire. Just follow the color coding on the original plugs when you crimp plugs to a new wire. That way you can put the display anywhere you want it.

Thanks Richard, It is a data cable with a phone jack type of plug. I could get another data cable and join with an adapter if I need more length.

If you don’t want to make a cable, I’m pretty sure Progressive sells extensions.

If it's a data cable, be sure to check out the wiring order on the two ends. Sometimes they use a reverse order on one end.
