Entry step trouble

Has anyone had trouble with entery step on a 2015 tiffin 32sa.I am speaking about the lower step below the battery compartment.MY STEP SEEMS TO HAVE HAD WATER ENTERY AND PLYWOOD HAS ROTTED.However the plywood below it is ok with no water entery.strange it's almost like someone left the door open and it rained.Any other guesses.

not a new issue, my 08 had same thing, the door awning above is motorized and has power wires coming thru the wall behind the awning, the seal or chaulk is either not enough or none at all. water enters up there and comes down thru the wall into the step area... i re chaulked mine, replaced wood and so far so good...
