Ethernet cable

2020 Phaeton 40IH

There is an Ethernet cable in the front right upper cabinet next to the front TV. Would anyone know where the other end of that cable terminates?

Would you be willing to post of picture of the ethernet cable in the area you are talking about?

I see Shawn is already poised to provide his expert advice which is always welcome here.

That cable on our 2021 IH is the Power Over ethernet (POE) and signal cable connecting the WiFi Ranger indoor router and its external antenna/router located on the roof. Maybe Tiffin installs the cable even if the option is not ordered.

Yeah. It most likely goes to the roof where a WiFi Ranger may or may not be.

Asking for a picture is "expert advice"?

Emphasis on "poised". I suspect the expert advice would follow after a picture was sent/posted.

POE

Thanks, POE to the roof makes sense. I’m just looking for a clean(er) way to get my Starlink router inside my coach and saw that cable.

This is exactly what I just did in our 2019 Phaeton 40IH. In my case, I had the Winegard Connect using the CAT 5e cable. I removed the Winegard router that was in the front upper cabinet, installed the Starlink Gen 3 router and power supply there, removed the Winegard antenna array on the roof and then installed the Starlink Gen 3 antenna over the approximate location where the old Winegard was installed. Made for a very neat installation without having to add or relocate any new cable.
