From Queen to King
I am changing the bed in our 2011 Allegro RED from a queen size (60x80) to a California King,72x80. I removed the two, side, bang your elbow racks from each side of the bed which allows up to 74 inches of room to fit the new Mattress. Still allows enough room in front of the rear closets. Pictures to follow .

I am waiting for the new California King Mattress to arrive then I will post pics ( if i know how ) and detail what I did to make the change. Was pretty simple since the Bed slide opening is 74 in. wide and a Calif King is 72 x 80.

If you can do that, why can't Tiffin offer us a Ca King option? That is the one thing I would love to have since we are used to a king at home. You did a nice job. Wish my DH was a handyman....

Swansonia
Actually Tiffin will do almost anything within reason we have learned. We met two nice gals at Lazy Days last weekend who ordered a new Pheaton and actually ordered the coach with many changes incorporated in the 36 ft Pheaton. One of the changes removed the sink in the corner of the bedroom and replaced it with a floor to ceiling drawers and shelves, which provided additional storage.
Of course this only applies to those that are ordering a coach but from all that I have read there are employees at Red Bay that do modification after hours and their work is impecable.

I"ll have to measure...but we have 2 "nightstands"...one on each side of the bed....

You should find that the inside measurement is 74" from wall to wall of the slide. Ours also has a "nightstand" on each side which was easily removed.
