Fuel Filling

After I got my 2018 Phaeton, the first few fill ups were done on the left side of the coach. Then I decided to fill on the right side. Not paying attention, after about 50 gals. the nozzle clicked off. I thought that was awful quick. Then I realized the fill door is lower on the right side than the left side. I must be because the Right side slide is in the same location where the fill door should be. Kinda a waste if I can't put more than about 20 gals. when empty.

I have a 2001 model Allegro bus. I see they have not gotten any better at locating the filler spout. I would love to use both filler spouts for faster fillups, but alas on my rig, the fill spout on the drivers side is nearly useless. I quickly learned to pull into a truck stop. Go around to the drivers side and start the pump, lay the handle on the ground then go to the passenger side to fill the coach. At least according to your description, your working filler is on the side with the actual pump in a truck stop. I wish mine worked that way.

My wife and I would travel full time, but we have to sleep occasionally.

Turn the front wheels all the way to the right stop and look behind the wheel for the fuel fill hose and vent hose. Both of these should be on a uniform slope from the fill point to the tank pipe. If it isn't you need to get under there and make it so. Sometimes a handful of zip ties is needed and some times you need to loosen the clamps holding the hoses and twist the fill pipe or the vent pipe to achieve the correct slope. This is a fairly common problem and is quite easy to fix.
