Question General questions

I recently purchased a new to me 1989 Tiffin Allegro 28' class a on a p30 chassis, with the Chevy 454 and three speed transmission.
The previous owner had a new radiator and fans installed to combat a high engine hear issue. The home has 46k original miles on it and after driving it home 150 miles I noticed the new heat gauge was still reading pretty hot. Averaging 210-215°f is this normal, or could the shop that replaced the radiator have put the wrong coolant in? I am about to drive from AZ to Florida in a three week trek. I would love to have a little peace of mind with the engine heat.
The windshield wipers are snapped off flush with the frame, what's the best way to fix this? I am looking at installing new wipers that come down for the top as I have no way to access the original ones from behind. They are completely sealed in without removing the whole dash. Which I would like to avoid, but I do have access to the top.
Behind the steering wheel is a hatch that allows access to the electrical ect. There is a black tube that is sucking air. I was told this is for the cruise control but I can't figure out where to attach it. Any ideas?
Best blackout, noise reducing curtains?
Space saving tips and tricks if you have them.

Thank you for taking the time. I thank you all in advance for you suggestions.

I'd say 210-215° is about right. We used to run about 212º-214º or so. But when I changed out our coolant last year, I changed out our thermostat too. It still had the factory thermostat. So I went with a new one that opened 4º earlier. We now run at about 207º pretty consistently.

Thank you. I appreciate your feedback. Do you have a go to antifreeze?

Different engines require different types of anti-freeze. You have an older model and different type of engine than mine so it won't be the same. There is —no go to type—of coolant. Again search out what your year model engine requires. Using the right kind of coolant is important.
